The Wilderness Systems XL Rudder Kit makes controlling your kayak in tight spaces or rough waters much easier. Once installed, this kit allows the paddler to steer the kayak with their feet using the new foot braces. The rudder blade is designed to stow away on the deck wth not in use and easily swing into position by pulling the uphaul / downhaul from the cockpit. This near-universal rudder kit services all current and many older Wilderness Systems solo kayaks, and includes footbraces, solo size rudder assembly, cables, tubes, and hardware to fit both rudder-ready and non-rudder ready kayaks.
