2024 Sunfish Women's North American Championships

The Dinghy Shop is proud to host the 2024 Sunfish Women's North American Championships this September. Sailors of all ages and from all over the country are invited to come and compete here on the Great South Bay. Here's more information on the event but please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.

Schedule

• Friday, September 6th
• 0900 - 1500 Check in & Registration
• 1300 Practice Race
• 1600 Optional Dinner at Gilgo Beach by Ferry
• Saturday, September 7th
• 0800 - 0900 Breakfast
• 0700 - 0800 Registration
• 0900 Skippers Meeting
• 1030 First Signal for first race of the day
• Subsequent Races back to back with lunch on the water
• 1800 Beach BBQ at the Dinghy Shop
• Sunday, September 8th
• 0730 - 0830 Breakfast
• 0930 First signal for first race of the day
• Subsequent races back to back
• No warning signal to be made after 1500

• Top 5 Finishers
• Top Master (Sailor over 40)
• Top Youth (Sailor under 19)
• Top 3 GSBYRA Youth Sailors
